[edit] Characters concepts

  • Healer? Greenbond is only the most obvious choice. The magister works very well-- in fact, a magister who refuses to cast blasting spells because he's too pacifist would be a great roleplaying hook. The wood witch is a great healer, though any witch will also serve--how many fantasy novels involve a healing herb-witch? The mageblade can be a battle-healer, who brings whole new meaning to 'fighting for the lives of his patients.'
  • Tank? Warmain being the obvious choice, but the Champion is great as well... much like a paladin, he is a Warrior with a Cause. The Bear Totem Warrior brings not only his own ferocity, but that of his totem as well. There is also the ritual warrior. Not as good a BAB, but he has combat rites and can wear heavy armor and shields, and his combat rites give him an edge in keeping the enemy's attention. The war-leader can be any of these three. A mystic defender fits the Champion or the Ritual Warrior perfectly as well.
  • Fighter DPS? Unfettered. Dashing swordsman who doesn't so much as absorb the blows of his enemies as avoid them. A more fighter-type rogue also fits the unfettered. A witch can be HELL. I had a spryte winter witch who had an INSANE AC, his sword pretty much kicked ass,
  • Assassin? Again, unfettered. Akashic is good with this, especially with a few Battle Memory akashic abilities taken. Mind witch is one of the best rogues here--the psi-blade can knock your enemy out without killing him and then you're free to deal the killing blow at your leisure after you've gotten what you need from him in a secluded back room.
  • Blaster? Magister reigns supreme here, but a greenbond makes a decent Fighter for the Land with his spirit abilities. Witches are great with both spells and witchfire, and the mageblade likely also has a few tricks up his sleeve.
  • Sniper? The Unfettered, the Ritual Warrior, the Hawk Totem Warrior...

Feats, especially template feats play a big role in defining a character.
